HVAC Repair might not be the best Christmas gift but it can bring you comfort and joy!

HVAC Repair on your Christmas List?

We’re guessing that HVAC repair is not something you have added to your Christmas wish list. In all honesty, who puts that on the list of things they want under the tree? Probably no one. But the truth is, it might be a perfect time to have your HVAC system looked over. A maintenance visit just might help avoid an HVAC emergency or major repairs. Family may be coming to stay with you this holiday season and loss of heat would certainly be a hassle during their visit. Also, colder weather is on the horizon, meaning your furnace needs to be ready to work correctly until springtime.

Some signs HVAC Repair is needed

HVAC Repair might not be the best Christmas gift but it can bring you comfort and joy!

If your furnace seems to start up and quickly shut down again before the thermostat temperature has been reached, it is short cycling. This can indicate a big problem and keep you in blankets all seasons long. When your furnace begins to short cycle, it is not functioning as well as it should. Not running through a full heating cycle causes it to continue to start and restart, attempting to reach the proper temperature. This causes excessive wear and tear on your unit which can increase the risk of major operational problems. Higher repair costs and a shortened lifespan can be negative results along with increased energy bills.

Cool, tepid or lukewarm air blowing from your furnace is another sign that HVAC repairs are needed. Problems with the heating element or burner or issues with improper temperature controls could be the cause. Either way, cool air is an obvious indication that HVAC repairs are needed.

Thanks for pointing out that cool, tepid or lukewarm air blowing from your furnace is a sign that HVAC repairs are needed. My husband and I have been having a problem with hour heating not working right and not warming up our home. I think it would be smart to look into HVAC companies that can help us repair it so that we can be comfortable again.
